1. Armin Linke.

Pantelleria, Italy, 2009 by Armin Linke (150 x 200 cm)

Part of the group exhibition Sguardo Italiano - Through Italian Eyes curated by Elio Grazioli at Fotografins Hus in Stockholm with Paola Di Bello, Giorgio Barrera and Armin Linke

Probably the most fascinating photograph I’ve seen all year.

  2. “I’m home now” – on feeling at home or being rootless.

The annual gingerbread house building competition at the Museum of Architecture in Stockholm is now open for judging and is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary! The theme this year is “I’m home now” – on feeling at home or being rootless. Every year there are three categories: Children up to the age of 12, Architects & professional bakers and Everyone else who bakes. You can look at all of the entries online or visit the museum on Skeppsholmen where they’ll be on display until the 9th of January.

    Yum!

  3. Reality Revisited.

Saw the exhibition Reality Revisited at Moderna Museet in Stockholm. Photography from the museums huge collection, the show was of (mostly) 70’s BW. All the stars were there, Larry Clarke, Chris Killip, Paul Hill, Diane Arbus, Brassaii, Walker Evans, Robert Frank….the list goes on! Lots of great Swedish/Nordic examples too. Far too many photographs, but many of the slightly obscure examples that you wouldn’t see in the UK. If you are making a trip to Stockholm, go and see it! Also try the swedish quiz for ages 4+, great to practise your swedish with!
